PREMIUM OSTRICH : A quality of plume between grade 1 (more and more difficult to obtain !) and grade 2. Approx. 30 cm long (1 ') with very long thick herls. A very good value for money.

CONDOR SUBSTITUTE : Condor fibers are used to tie nymph's bodies, dry flies and small wet flies. Resistant, these fibers add a webby stripe when used to ring bodies. As real condor is unobtainable, this is of course a substitute.

GOOSE : Goose quills (stiff fibers) are used for large quill-winged dries, for nymph cases or for little nymph bodies. Goose shoulders are primarily used for married wings on salmon flies. Goose biots (stripped goose) are mostly used for legs, perfect nymph "V" tails and antennae (stone fly nymphs).
